EHC GROUPS PROMOTE AT CRAFTS FESTIVAL - The Extension Homemakers Council ladies participated in various areas to help Pioneer Village in their craft festival and appreciating the volunteers. It started with Marty Bowlin's call to EHC volunteers to help clean and prepare the various buildings. The ladies didn't disappoint her when Malinda asked for scones, tea cakes, biscuits, to serve with tea & the baked deserts that would be served as part of the beans and greens supper on Friday, as well as the lunch on Saturday of hamburgers, fried bologna sandwiches, chips and sweet snack deserts. Charlene of Friendship EHC brought beautiful quilts she displayed on the pews in the church along with the past project books, while the other members of Friendship (Karen, Kaye, Shelia, Loletia, Arnette , Terry) were busy selling fried pies. Most all joined in the fun of dressing in Pioneer attire including many visitors. The weather was wet and cold. The food was delicious, and every one helped wherever the need! It was a good day! Others in attendance were Vicki and Debra with Busy Bee Crafters at Kingsland. If you are interested in joining an Extension Homemakers Club call the local extension office and they can assist you.
