Ida McGhee

Ida Bea Martin McGhee, 74, was born to the late Bennie Lee Martin Smith and the late Daniel Cuba on April 26, 1948. She departed this life Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the Green House Cottages in Rison, Arkansas.

Ida was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Archie Lee McGhee on April 11, 1995. To this union, two children were born. Ida was saved at an early age at Union Grove Baptist Church in Rison under the leadership of Reverend Robert Nelson.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Ronald Martin and Archie McGhee of Rison; nine sisters, Maxine Martin Wells, Rebecca Smith, Versie (John) Reeves, Thelma (Charles) Brandon of Rison, Lastida (Edward) Burns of Pine Bluff, Pam Baker, Melody Hamilton and Sabrina Cuba of Flint, Michigan; three brothers, Lawrence (Viola) Smith of Rison, Daniel Cuba Jr. of Flint, Michigan, and the late Lindsey Earl Smith; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

A celebration of her life was held Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Kedron Church of Christ in Rison with Elder Arthur Sledge, pastor, officiating. Interment followed at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Rison.

Active pallbearers were Kevin McCleod, John Young, Travis Bell, David Borkin, Bernard Bunton and Otis Wainwright. Her nephews served as honorary pallbearers.
