RISON - Carlese Johnson, a junior at Rison High School, was selected as one of the three Sr. Beta Club Regional Leadership Representatives for 20232024 at the 2023 Beta Club Regional Leadership Summit in Hot Springs on October 2-3.
A panel of National Beta Club sponsors interviewed and selected candidates for the position. Carlese will travel to Washington D.C. this summer to the National Beta Club Leadership Summit. Rison High School senior, Jared Saeler, finished his year of service as a Regional Leadership Representative for the 2022-2023 school year. Jared helped facilitate leadership sessions and spoke to the Sr. High Beta Summit attendees about facing fears and conquering giants.
Also in attendance were Rison High School's Beta Club officers, seniors, Marlee Johnson, Josey Edwards, and Caroline Morrison. Senior Fallon Johnson, the 2022-2023 Arkansas State Beta Club Secretary attended, as well. Together, they participated in officer training and competed in and qualified for nationals in the Collaboration Connection competition.
