Totty Sees Some Improvement At Recent Dumas Team Camp

DUMAS - Rison Coach Clay Totty came away from the recent team camp at Dumas with some mixed reactions about his Wildcats.
Unlike 7-on-7 tournaments, team camps allow teams to use 11 players in a scrimmage-like situation. Linemen are allowed to wear shoulder pads and make contact with the opponent.
Rison has been holding team camps with Dumas, Watson Chapel and McGehee.
On the positive side, Totty said the defensive backs showed improvement, and the defensive line showed “a lot of improvement.”
Offensively, he said several people caught the ball and that quarterback Juan Jones’ decision-making had improved.
Jones finished the camp hitting 50 percent of his passes, connecting on 10-of-20 attempts. Marquis Walker snagged three of those passes while Johnny Wooley and Andre Rauls had two apiece.
