Bertha Dulaff
  Bertha H. Dulaff, 55, of Rison, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 24, 2010, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
  She was born May 6, 1955, at Pine Bluff, a daughter of the late Adam Bradley Howard and Marie Turner Howard.
  Mrs. Dulaff was a bookkeeper for Pine Bluff Cable, a homemaker, and a Baptist.
  Mrs. Dulaff loved her children and grandchildren, and she loved painting and craft work. Mrs. Dulaff was a faithful supporter of St. Jude’s Hospital.
  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmie B. Howard and James Everett Howard; one sister, Revels Marie Denton; and one grandchild, Morgan Paige Farrer.
  Survivors include her husband, Benjamin J. Dulaff, Jr. of Rison, whom she married on January 17, 1981; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby Barker and Karen of Starkville, Mississippi, and Lee Freeman and Crystal of Rison; two daughters and son-in-law, Monica Travis of Rison, and Jennifer Freeman Earnest and Larry of Fort Dodge, Iowa; three brothers and sisters-in-law, John A. Howard and Orpha of Pine Bluff, Paul E. Howard and Bertha Mae of White Hall, and  Adam Bradley Howard of Stuttgart; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Mae Bell Earnest and Gene, Mary Weast, all of Star City, and Barbara Pennington and James of Rison; eight grandchildren, Taylor Farrer, Emily Farrer, Hanna Travis, Larry Earnest, Tristan Earnest, C.J. Barker, Ben Barker, and Harley Freeman.
  Funeral services were Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Buie Funeral Chapel in Rison with Bro. Trey Jones officiating.
  Arrangements were by Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
  Pallbearers were Kirk Howard, Chad Hall, Jimmy Hall, Chris Pennington, Jason Want and Taylor Farrer.
  Honorary pallbearers were Tristan Earnest and Larry Earnest.

Jack Marks
  Billy Jack Marks, 70, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010, at his home in Hobbs, New Mexico. He was born December 23, 1939, in New Edinburg to the late Victor Richardson Marks and Mamie Elizabeth Barnett Hall Marks.
  Jack worked in oil field well servicing for more than 43 years. He enjoyed spoiling his little dog Missie, feeding hummingbirds, doves, and squirrels, and tinkering around the house. Everyday, for the past two years, a couple of doves would come within a foot of him to eat chopped pecans he had prepared for them. He lived his life with kindness, selflessness, and touched the lives of so many. Above all, he was a beloved son, brother, husband, dad, papa and friend. 
  He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Clyde and Edgar Lee Marks, his sisters, Hazel Vittitow and Wyona Colvin.
  Survivors include his wife, Edith Marks, of Hobbs, New Mexico;  children Vickie and Andy Gibbs of Hobbs, New Mexico, and Cindy Rains of Midland, Texas;  grandchildren Hannah and Andrew Jack Gibbs of Hobbs, New Mexico, April Rains and Jeff Benham, Evan and Cassie Rains of Odessa, Texas, and Adrienne Goad and Matt Houston of Midland, Texas; great-grandchildren Danielle, Tori and Dustin Benham and Ava Rains of Odessa, Texas, Cayden Potter and unborn Koltyn Houston of Midland, Texas and Ethan Rains of Hobbs, New Mexico; sisters Elizabeth Barner of Clinton, Arkansas, Janette Whited of Whitehouse, Texas, and Helen Alesce of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
  Memorial Services will be held in Prairie Haven Memorial Park Chapel in Hobbs, New Mexico, on Friday, July 30, 2010, at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Brad Reimers officiating.  Burial of the urn will follow.

Russell Swope
  Russell Willis Swope, 86, passed from this life just after midnight on July 5, 2010. 
  He was born April 15, 1924, at Alton, Illinois, the son of the late Willis Gleason and Adele Lehr Swope.
  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Harold Swope, and a granddaughter, Karen Austin.
  Survivors include seven children, Linda Austin (Ron) of Allen, Texas; Russell Willis Swope (Barbara) of Austin, Arkansas; Adrienne Swope Stubbins (Michael) of Columbus, Ohio (all formerly of Woodlawn); Pam Swope-Bland (Ira) of Ashburn, Virginia; Michael Swope (Pam) of Morgantown, West Virginia; Lisa Swope Medley (Charles) of Pataskala, Ohio; Michelle Swope of Columbus, Ohio; a granddaughter, Patricia Swope of Austin, Arkansas;  seven grandsons, Chip Austin of Allen, Texas, Norman Swope of Sherwood, Arkanas, John Michael, Bradley, Seth, Gavin and Grant Stubbins, all of Columbus Ohio; and five great-grandchildren.
  Russell succeeded in life three wives, Marie, Jane and Barbara.
  He leaves three cousins in St. Louis, Missouri, Roger, Robert, and Gene Lehr. 
  He was a retired USAF Senior Master Sergeant with 23 years of exemplary service and was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal and numerous  individual and unit citations. He was a teacher/counselor in Columbus, Ohio, area schools and a teacher and community volunteer in  Petersburg, Virginia.
  His grandfather and great-grandfather engineered construction of historic buildings in St. Louis including Union Station, the Federal Building, and the Historic Concordia Seminary.
  Funeral services were held July 6 at First Baptist Church of Allen, Texas, followed by a graveside service on Wednesday, July 7, at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Jimmy Clark
  James Marshall “Jimmy” Clark, Sr., 65, of New Edinburg, died Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.
  He was born December 27, 1944, at Warren, the son of the late Shelton Otto Clark and Louise Davidson Clark.
  He was a retired pipe fitter, a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, a graduate of Warren Public Schools and served in the U.S. Air Force as a M.P.
  Survivors include is his wife Lana Kay Cornish Clark, whom he married November 19, 1999; four sons, Marshall Clark of Orlando, Fla, James Clark, Jr. of Kingsland, Jon Clark of Warren, and Jeremiah Clark of Fort Smith; two daughters, Shelly Richardson and Carrie Brian, both of Warren; three stepsons, David O’Connor of Plano, Texas, Clinton O’Connor of Monticello,  and Daniel O’Connor of Denton, Texas; a stepdaughter, Melissa O’Connor of Carrolton, Texas; a brother, Shelton Clark of Lake Village; a sister, Betty Roe of Ward; 14 grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.
  Funeral service was Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Murphy officiating. Pianist was Robin Young. Burial with military honors was at Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
  Active pallbearers were Tommy Cornish, David Leslie, Kenneth Thompson, Mark Grant, James Kitchens, Scott Grice, Greg Morman, and Bob Powell.

J.W. Farrer
  J.W. Farrer, 89, of Rison, died Monday, July 26, 2010, at St. John’s Place Nursing Home in Fordyce.
  He was born October 21, 1920, in Yell County, a son of the late Walter Franklin Farrer and Doris Magness Farrer.
  Mr. Farrer served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a retired maintenance worker and a member of the Rison Church of Christ.
  In addition to his parents, Mr. Farrer was also preceded in death by one daughter, Jean Palmer, and two brothers, Frank “Hoy” Farrer, Jr, and Theron R. Farrer.
  Survivors include his wife, Mary Lacy Farrer of Rison, whom he married on July 3, 1946; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Donna Farrer of Rison, and Rick and Mary Farrer of Maumelle; three brothers, Vane Farrer of Scranton, Charles Farrer of Pine Bluff, and Bobby Farrer of Vicksburg, Mississippi; one sister, Geraldine Wallace of Pine Bluff; eight grandchildren, Ronnie Farrer, Ricky Farrer, Jason Farrer, Nicholas Farrer, Ranee Farrer, Denise Chude, Dana Hargis and Jim Palmer Jr; and 13 great-grandchildren.
  Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010, at Buie Funeral Chapel in Rison with Bro. Lanis Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery at Rison.
  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Buie Funeral Home in Rison.
  Pallbearers are grandsons and great-grandsons, Ronnie Farrer, Ricky Farrer, Jason Farrer, Nicholas Farrer, Taylor Farrer and Bradley Bell.
  Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison.

Vivian Outlaw
  Vivian L. Outlaw, 71, of Monticello, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Baptist Medical Center in  Little Rock.
  She was born June 1, 1939, in Bradley County, a daughter of the late Emery Reynolds “Jack” Hollingsworth and Lucille Braswell Hollingsworth.
  She was a graduate of the Hermitage Public School System, a homemaker and a Baptist.
  Surviving include two daughters ,Yvette Stringer and spouse Steve of Monticello, and Rebecca Jacobs and spouse Jay of Hermitage; one brother, Gene Hollingsworth and spouse Carrie of White Hall; four sisters, Beth Bellinger and spouse Scott of Melbourne, Florida, Patricia Lusk and spouse Frank of Greenville, Alabama, Glenn Rose Clay and spouse Jerry of  Sheridan,  and Kay Taylor and spouse Jimmy, of Rye; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
  Funeral services were Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Frazer’s Chapel  in Warren with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Linda Barrett was organist and soloist was Tammy McKissic. Burial was in Gravelridge Cemetery near Hermitage by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
  Active pallbearers were Jeremy Clay, Tony Clay, Wyatt Clay, James Grice, Nic Black, Lacy Hollingsworth and Josh Etheridge.

Billy Henderson
  Billy R. Henderson, 77, of the Woodlawn community, died Friday, July 23, 2010, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
  He was born December 25, 1932, at the Calmer community, a son of the late Guy Henderson and Lillie Cope Henderson.
  Mr. Henderson was employed by Southern Bag Company for 41 years before his retirement. He was an avid hunter and a Baptist. 
  Mr. Henderson was also preceded in death by two sisters, Geneva Vent and Floy Edmonds; and a brother, Bernis Henderson.
  Survivors include his wife, Jean Dixon Henderson of Woodlawn; one son and daughter-in-law, Billy K. and Cindy Henderson of Woodlawn; two brothers and sister-in-law, Rufus and Jeannette Henderson of Pine Bluff, and L.C. Henderson of Leola; one sister, Leona Culp of Austin, Texas; and one granddaughter, Lily Henderson of Woodlawn.
  Funeral services were Monday, July 26, 2010, at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Jackie Richardson officiating. Burial was in the Friendship Cemetery.
  Pallbearers were J.C. Woolley, Billy Rex Morrison, Havis Harrison, Mark Dowell, Kelly Slater and Kenny Robinson.
