William Hogan (WH/Dub/ Bill) Ashcraft, 79, gained his wings at home, treasured by loved ones, on May 2, 2024 after his valiant struggle with cancer. He was a licensed minister who loved to tell people about Jesus during the years that included working with rehab ministries and jail ministries, along with everyone he came in contact with. He is now resting with his Lord and Savior. You could always find him doing the things he loved most, hunting, fishing (all night), gardening, canning, playing games and of course eating and fellowshipping with others. In his younger years, he was an avid bull rider and since enjoyed watching the PBR with his wife Linda, if the Razorbacks weren't playing of course.Dub loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed teaching them how to hunt and fish. He had a lifetime full of wonderful memories with all of his family. He loved telling life stories, had a great sense of humor, and a wonderful gift to create laughter everywhere he went. He will truly be missed.Dub started with the State Troopers in Arkansas where he worked for 10 years before leaving to continue his career in construction for ARDOC. He was a wonderful builder and responsible for a number of projects in Central Arkansas. In later life, he tried retirement but just had to stay busy taking on work projects amongst his hobbies. He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda. 2 sons, Phillip (Jennifer) of Washington, Jay of Gould; sisters, Irma Jean of Junction City, Jane of White Hall; brother Winfred of England. His treasures are his grandchildren, Sara (Wesley) of Benton, Josh of Biloxi, Dillion of Wynne, Cody of Wynne, Wesley Hogan of Washington, Morgan of Washington, and Jaden Rain and Kylan of Wynne. His great grandchildren, Gabe of Bryant, Amaya of Bryant, and Madison Alexis of Horseshoe Bend.Special friends are the Wrights Ranch House group, many great laughs and fun times every Wednesday for lunch. Also, his best 4-legged friends Cici, Pooter and Tacoma. Special thanks…
