About The Herald

The Cleveland County Herald was established in 1888 at Rison, Arkansas, and is the longest-running newspaper published in Cleveland County. Located at 215 Main Street in Rison, The Herald publishes every Wednesday and is distributed through local retail outlets and the Post Office.
News Deadlines
News items should be submitted to The Herald office by no later than 5 p.m. Monday to be published in the Wednesday newspaper. News items, engagement or wedding announcements, community news or other information can be submitted four ways: by delivering it to our office at 215 Main Street; mailing it to us at Cleveland County Herald, P.O. Box 657, Rison, AR 71665; faxing it to (870) 325-6127; or emailing it to us at ccherald@tds.net. If you send a photograph and would to have it returned, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope large enough for the photograph.

Advertising Deadlines

Orders for display advertising (classified or retail) are accepted through 5 p.m. Monday for publication in the Wednesday newspaper. The deadline for reader ads in the classified section is Noon Tuesday. For information regarding advertising rates, please call (870) 325-6412.

Subscription Rates

For residents of Cleveland County and adjoining counties (Bradley, Calhoun, Dallas, Drew, Grant, Jefferson and Lincoln) $22 per year; elsewhere in Arkansas, $27 per year; outside Arkansas, $29. To subscribe, simply submit your payment with the name and address the subscription is for.
